There’s no two ways around it. You toddler is going to want to use your iPhone and your toddler will learn to use the iPad. It’s only a matter of time. Schools are even finding ways to use iPads in classrooms which is keeping kids entertained as well as interested in their learning material.
If you are looking for some toddler-friendly apps that you can trust, read our short list below:
1. Touch ‘n Sing Along App by XING, INC.
This app is great for toddlers as well as kids of all ages. The app is free to download and comes with two free song downloads. My daughter enjoys this app because she can sing and dance along to the music as she touches the images on the screen. This app can help children improve their alphabet skills and so much more all while encouraging them to get up and dance or sing along. More games can be unlocked if you choose to pay for them. The colors and graphics are so fun and joyful which is why we’re sure this app will quickly become your child’s favorite, too.
(My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars – Bright Colors, Fun Songs, Free with in-app purchase options)

This game has been a favorite of my daughter’s for months. What I love about this app is that when you grab a letter and hold it with your finger, it will repeat the sound of the letter how it appears in the word. For example, the ‘L’ will typically say “Lalalalalalala” when you touch it. The ‘I’ will sound like “eyeyeyeyeyeyeye.” Once you’ve placed all of the letters in their correct positions, the app then gives you an animation of the word along with a verbal definition. For example: HILARIOUS will explain that “When something is HILARIOUS, it means it’s really, really funny.” I also love that it praises your child upon completion of each word.
(My Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars – Educational, $2.99)
