1. Play counting games
Kids loves when learning is fun and nonchalant. The best way to help your kids learn numbers and counting is to invest in a counting game like Shelby’s Snack Shack Game ($21.99 – EducationalInsights.com). Take an imaginary trip to the beach with Shelby and help her recover her buried dog bones. Just try to stay away from the sneaky seagulls! This game also helps to develop hand-eye coordination with the adorable pug dog Squeezers which aid in bone recovery. (Grades Pre-k to K)

2. Foam numbers
Foam numbers are cheap and provide hours of learning fun. Use them in the bathtub by sticking them to the tub and shower walls.

3. Numbered bean bags
Kids love to be competitive. Why not challenge their hand-eye coordination while teaching them how to identify numbers? These numbered bean bags ($27.99 – EducationalInsights.com) have the numbers printed on one side and the words printed on the other side. Even numbers are blue and odd numbers are red for even more learning fun. Ask our child to find a specific number and then have them toss it into a box or bucket for more of a challenge. (Grades PreK+)

4. Alpha Magnets + Math Magnets
Add some classic numbered magnets ($19.99 – EducationalInsights.com) to the fridge and keep kids occupied while you’re cooking. Ask your child to find each number and bring it to you until there are no more left. Make it extra fun by incorporating letters.

5. Plastic Eggs and an old egg carton
Use a permanent marker to write numbers on plastic eggs. Place eggs in an old egg carton and help kids get them in the correct order. To make it extra challenging, split the eggs apart and have kids practice putting them back together like a puzzle.
