With Organic India Tulsi teas you can skip the boiling process and make a big pitcher of cold brew tea. Tulsi is also called “Holy Basil,” which in India is revered as the Queen of Herbs. Holy Basil is rich in antioxidants. Tulsi tea gives you an energy boost, gives stress relief, and also boosts your natural immune system.
I tend to lean more toward flavored (but not sweetened) teas, so my favorite of the Tulsi teas was the pomegranate green tea flavor. Organic India recommends using 10 tea bags in a large pitcher of water for brewing, but I chose to make mine in a smaller bottle with 5 bags and made sun tea to speed up the brewing process. The 2 quart bottle only took about an hour or so to brew. The pomegranate green tea had a very subtle taste of the fruit, while the green tea gave it a really smooth background flavor. I imagine you can adjust the amount of bags to your pitcher size and how intense you want the flavor. Mine was just perfect when poured over ice!

Recipe for Cold Brew Tulsi
– Pick your favorite pitcher
– Unwrap 10 ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi Tea Bags and place in pitcher
– FIll with cold water and cap with lid
– Let it sit for 2-8 hours
– Remove tea bags
– Enjoy poolside!
