Players choose a card to see which food item to put on the grill for dinner, but they should watch out! This grill is temperamental and may jump, causing all the food to fall off. The winner is the first player to get 3 items off the grill.
You’ve probably seen some of my recent posts about how much I love having a family game night. I just love featuring fun family-friendly games on the blog. I was recently given the chance to play the new Barbecue Party Game and just had to share it with you.
Disclosure: I received this game free of charge to facilitate my review. My opinion is always honest and not influenced by compensation.
What I love about this Barbecue Party Game is the simplicity of it. There aren’t tons of small pieces or a board. Just lots of mid-sized barbecue goodies, a stack of cards, a barbecue and some tongs. The idea of the game is to place your food on the grill without having it “pop.”
This game is great for ages two and up in my opinion. You can modify the game for younger kids by removing the tongs and even locking the grill. My daughter is almost three and has no problem using the tongs. We did have to teach her a little lesson on “poor sportsmanship,” though. She would get upset when the game popped on her and would pout and run away.
Family game night, like sitting around the dinner table together, is a great way to communicate with your family. We love to laugh together and talk about how our days went and just have fun.
You can purchase this game from stores like Amazon, Walmart and Toys R Us for around $20 which is a great price, in my opinion. This game would make a great gift or reward for good behavior for your kids.
