Peetleberry Pumpkinhead and the Singing Shoe-Buh-Doos
Meet Peetleberry Pumpkinhead- the cutest little pumpkin-headed boy that will take your kids on a wild imaginary adventure through the world of Shoe-Buh-Doo.
About the Author, Michael Nnamdi
In the book’s preface, Michael talks about how Peetleberry is a direct reflection of himself. He mentions that Peetleberry is a ‘true manifestation of my imagination. He’s the child in me who dwells in any, and everything imaginary.’
I’m sure we can all relate to this imagination at some point in our lives. Most adults are afraid to act on their creativity and imagination and I applaud Michael for being able to turn his fun imagination into a masterpiece.
About the Story
Peetleberry turns even the simplest of things into an adventure. He brings a shoe store to life with his imagination with the help some friends. You get to meet fun characters like Mary-Jane, Peter Penny-Loafer, Nancy Wellington and Henry Hitchford who help guide Peetlebery on his journey to find the missing Cobbler King and save Shoe-Buh-Doo. Splash through ponds, climb rocky hills and solve word puzzles with the cutest little Pumpkinhead around.
This book is even fun for adults to read. My daughter and I have a blast going through each page. The illustrations and songs are so unique and really give this children’s book an edge.
